What photos do I need for a custom pet sculpture?
Two or three clear shots: a front view and a profile, plus anything that shows ear set, tail carriage and body shape. Good light helps the likeness more than resolution does. Old photographs and phone videos are exactly what we expect to work from.
Do you offer smaller indoor keepsakes?
No. We build at scale only — our smallest pieces are 1.5 m. Cold-cast resin appears on our materials page for comparison only, so you can see why a painted resin piece is not right for a large outdoor installation.
Can you match my pet's exact markings and coat colour?
Yes. FRP fibreglass is finished with multi-layer automotive paint and hand-painted detail, which reproduces a specific coat, white markings and eye colour precisely. Bronze is coloured with a chemical patina instead and cannot match an exact pigment.
Will a large sculpture survive outdoors?
Fibreglass is UV-coated and good for 15–20 years outdoors before the clear coat needs refreshing, and a good workshop will warrant it for up to 30. Keep the base above grade with drainage underneath, because freeze-thaw is harder on a piece than rain.
How much does a large pet sculpture cost?
Surveyed overseas ranges for sculptures above 1.5 m put fibreglass at $1,500–$4,900 and stainless steel at $1,200–$4,900 for smooth cartoon forms. Stainless pieces needing fine surface detail run $8,000–$12,000 at the same size. Over 3 m, expect $8,000–$35,000 in fibreglass and $28,000–$55,000 in stainless.
What should a quote include?
Material grade and sheet thickness, the internal steel frame, structural calculations if the piece is over 2 m, the UV or clear-coat specification, door-to-door freight, who pays import duty, who handles rigging and installation, and the warranty period. Ours states all of it up front.
Do you offer a discount for several identical pieces?
Yes, and it is the single biggest saving available. A one-off commission carries the full mould cost, which for a life-size piece runs roughly $2,000–$8,000. From about ten identical pieces the mould is amortised and the unit price drops 40–60%. Ask for the mould priced separately from the per-unit price.
What is the lead time?
Typically 8–16 weeks for a large piece, and longer above 3 m, where the sculpture is built in sections and welded on site.
